Faith, Focus, and Finishing Strong: My Mindset After the Game-Winning Interception
This past weekend was one of those games I’ll never forget.
Not just because of the numbers — 6 total tackles and a game-winning interception — but because of what it meant. Every play was the result of months of discipline, sacrifice, and faith in the process.
When I’m on that field, it’s never just about football. It’s about purpose.
It’s about staying focused when everything around you is loud. It’s about remembering where you came from and who you’re doing it for.
This game was the kind of moment every athlete dreams about — when your preparation meets opportunity. That interception didn’t happen by chance; it was the result of countless hours in the film room, extra reps after practice, and trusting my instincts.
Now, the Trojans are bowl eligible and tied for first place in the Sun Belt.
That’s something to celebrate — but it’s not the finish line. It’s motivation to keep going harder.
I’m proud of this team. We’ve battled adversity, pushed through doubt, and proved what can happen when you stay locked in. To my brothers in that locker room — I see you. To my coaches — thank you for believing. And to my family and everyone who’s been supporting me since day one — I do this for you.
If you take anything from this moment, let it be this:
Stay faithful, stay focused, and always finish strong.
We’re not done yet.
Let’s keep climbing.
